Def Leppard brings its catalog of arena-ready rock anthems to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, on May 1, 2027. The event, Def Leppard, Goo Goo Dolls & The Struts, pairs the English rock band with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts for a multi-artist concert. TicketsWestHollywood.com covers this Concerts event in the Pop / rock category.
Formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977, Def Leppard became one of the most successful rock bands of its era, selling more than 100 million records worldwide. The band's enduring sound—melodic hooks, layered production, and crowd-ready choruses—helped make Pyromania and Hysteria landmark albums. Def Leppard was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
Among the group's best-known songs are “Rock of Ages,” “Photograph,” “Hysteria,” “Animal,” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Its 2023 release, Drastic Symphonies, reimagined classic tracks with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The band's history also includes a remarkable story of perseverance: drummer Rick Allen continued performing after losing an arm in a 1984 car accident.
The May 1 performance is listed with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts. Def Leppard's large-scale live approach and familiar singalong choruses suit the Hollywood Bowl's expansive outdoor setting, where the hillside amphitheater brings a distinctive Los Angeles atmosphere to a night of classic and contemporary rock.
Prices currently start around $120 for this major concert, with some seats and premium options potentially costing $500 or more. Prices and availability can change as the event approaches.
The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater set into the Hollywood Hills, with a curved layout focused on the stage and its iconic band shell. Its capacity is approximately 17,500, and the hillside setting makes it wise to consider both sightlines and the walk to your seats.
For a premium experience, centered Garden Boxes and Terrace Boxes offer a balanced stage view and added comfort. Center Super Seats are a strong middle-ground choice for fans seeking a centered perspective without selecting a front box. The upper Promenade and bench sections offer the classic Bowl atmosphere, though they sit farther from the performers; far-rear or extreme-side seats may be less suitable for guests prioritizing close-up detail.
Hollywood Bowl parking is limited and on-site spaces may use stacked parking, which can prevent an early exit. Park & Ride, the Bowl Shuttle, Metro, or rideshare can be more convenient alternatives. Arriving well ahead of showtime is recommended, and residential neighborhood parking should be avoided because of the risk of tickets.
